We made it to another Friday party people and you know what that means- another fab finds post for you! It’s been a very eventful week over here at Weekends With Winter but I really wanted to give you guys the most fabulous finds I could get my hands on. So without further ado…
Minted.com
Minted has become my new favorite site for go to party decor. They have everything from invitations, party favors and the backdrops you see above, which can be used as makeshift photo booths. If you follow me on Instagram (which you totally should be doing) you would have also seen the cute match books that say “A Perfect Match” and could be lovely favors to hand out at a wedding or engagement party.
Vintage Decor
I love how unexpected items can liven up the decor of a party. These vintage pieces do just that! I can totally picture the typewriter resting on the edge of a bar with the recipe for a custom cocktail typed and left inside the carriage, or the camera used as a prop for a photo booth.
Sprinkles To Go
For those hosts that don’t have the time to bake but want to provide guests a sweet treat Sprinkles may be just what you need. If you live in the Los Angeles area then you’re probably familiar with Sprinkles Cupcakes, for those of you who have never heard of the cupcake giant and want to know what all the fuss is about, Sprinkles has expanded their line to include cookies and ice cream that can be delivered right to your door.
Mad Men Themed Party
If you’re one of the millions of people obsessed with the television show Mad Men, than this party theme may be just the thing for you. Create a cocktail bar featuring all old school drinks (Manhattans & Old Fashions anyone?), have your friends come dressed in 60’s get-ups (and give an award for the most creative look), buy old school candy cigarettes and place them around the house as decor -the possibilities are endless! This is the last season of the popular show so go out with a bang and host your own Mad Men party.
Creative Charcuterie
I was at a friends house for dinner this week and she made the most fabulous charcuterie tray! It got me to thinking about all of the creative ways I’ve seen charcuterie displayed around the internet. The top image is my friends beautiful creation and the last 2 are some of my favorite from Pinterest. When creating a charcuterie tray it is important to present at least 2 cheeses (preferably 1 mild and 1 sharp) a cured meat, nuts, fruit and if you’re feeling really adventurous perhaps a spread of some kind (think honey or a fancy mustard). There really are no rules just have fun with it!
Wow! Another “Fab Finds Friday” for the record books 🙂 I hope you liked my selections. Which ones will you implement at your next party? Please comment and let me know what you like and if you have any fabulous finds please forward them to me and I will present them in my next fab finds post. As always in parting, keep the party goin…
