When I thought of charity events in the past I always thought-black tie, super snooty, snooze fest. Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong in my assessment ( I think I’ve watched too many dramatic Lifetime movies). Richstone Family Center’s annual beach party has all of the makings of a super fun event – great food, great company and a truly great cause. Come inside this years event and see for yourself…
Held on a private beach at King Harbor in Redondo Beach, Endless Summer raises awareness for the Richstone Family Center, a place that is truly making a difference in preventing and treating children who suffer from child abuse. The center was founded in 1974 with a staff of only 6. Since its inception it has grown to as many as 135 staff members and has increased their services offered to include Los Angeles county as well as the South Bay. They do really great work in the community and have continued to grow because of it.
The event is held not only to raise funds for Richstone Family Center but also to celebrate the amazing people who give so selflessly to the charity. Seriously EVERYONE comes out to party, kids and adults! I think I love seeing the kids acting as wait staff the most. They are so cute and you can tell they love giving back.
This year we were treated to a variety of awesome cuisine! From Doma Kitchen, STACKED, ChartHouse, Zazou, Standing Room, Ole Smokey Moonshine, 325 Coffee, and Cheeky to name a few. The food was a food and cocktail lovers dream!
As was last years event, this years was just as fun as it was beautiful. Lovely tablescapes adorned the private beach and guests were invited to remove their shoes and party the night away to the sounds of Night Owl Entertainment. Night Owl is so good in fact I hired them to perform at my own birthday party!
I urge my readers to head over to the Richstone Family Center website and donate or attend an upcoming event. You will not only feel good about your contribution to a worthwhile cause but you’ll also have a GREAT time while doing so!
