Renegade Craft Fair L.A.

Renegade Craft Fair returns to L.A. Featuring hundreds of talented artisans peddling everything from hand-dyed yarn from the Yarnover Truck and yummy street food from local food trucks. Local artist Jessica Ceballos will also be there creating custom poems on the spot as you listen to smooth summer tunes by KXLU DJs . Stop at the Magnolia Photo Booth to document the afternoon.

The Pretty Woman Experience

I've got 3 words for you "Rodeo Drive baby" ...if you're a fan of Pretty Woman than head over to the Beverly Hills Wilshire hotel for a celebration of the film’s 25th year release (wait am I THAT old), LA Natives can gaze at a recreation of the legendary red dress and Pretty Woman-inspired necklace from Jason of Beverly Hills. There's also a selfie station where you can capture the moment and brag on all of your social media accounts. It's so great I almost peed my pants(how's that for a Pretty Woman reference) ;)

Family Jam

Don’t miss this chance to “jam” at the Zoo after hours with the kids! This popular nighttime musical adventure features live bands, kids’ karaoke, dancing, games, and food trucks, along with up-close animal encounters, keeper talks, and more. Follow clues to find Jammin’ Animals in the zoo to receive a prize, and create a critter-inspired masterpiece at the Animal Artistry Paint Party (while supplies last).

Hip Hop Logic

The hip-hop education movement is gaining momentum throughout the country as a way for students to explore complex themes in literature. Hip-hop Logic: The Role of Hip-Hop in 21st-Century Education & Poetics celebrates this artistic intersection with performances and lectures by musicians, poets (including L.A. poet laureate Luis Rodriguez) and educators including California Teachers of the Year Alan Sitomer and Alex Kajitani.

BeautyCon

All the hottest stars of Youtube and Instagram unite for the makeup and lifestyle convention. Online shop Nasty Gal and makeup blogger fave NYX Cosmetics are among brands that will have a presence here and if you're a fan of Jiff, the adorably fluffy dog just know that you may get to have your picture taken with him. If beauty isn't your thing but you're indebted to someone who's it is, there will be a "parents lounge" on site just for you!

Street Food Cinema

Launched in 2012, Street Food Cinema is more than just an outdoor movie. It’s an experience. Bringing together the best in pop culture films, gourmet street food and progressive new music, Street Food Cinema reinvents the traditional movie going experience – al fresco style. Every element is carefully curated to develop the unique atmosphere that makes audiences want to come back again and again. Purple Rain & Bridesmaids is the line up for this weekends July 11th show.

KING at Fig

Twin sisters Paris and Amber Strother and musical compadre Anita Bias are KING and they will be performing at the FIGat7th Downtown Festival Friday July 10th. If you love smooth harmonies and honest musicianship than you don't want to miss this show. Doors open at 4 PM and the concert starts at 7 PM.
