Oscar Week Fun with Vanity Fair Social Club

in Events on 23/02/15

Growing up the Oscar’s were a huge deal in my household. My mother and I would gather around the t.v. (like men watching the Super Bowl) with snacks and champagne (apple cider prior to my 21st) to watch the stars in all their glamour, celebrate the movies on Hollywood’s biggest night. Who was wearing what? Who would win the most coveted prizes? Would anyone be able to nail a proper acceptance speech without that God awful wrap up music interrupting them? These were all questions I sat with anticipation for answers. So imagine my joy to learn that I had an invite to one of the coolest events leading up to Hollywood’s biggest night- The Vanity Fair Social Club.

Held at We Works Studio in Hollywood  California, The Vanity Fair Social Club was a week-long event that brought some of the top bloggers and Influencer’s (to be included in that sentence is just too much for me to write) together to socialize in the days leading up to the Oscar’s. We dined on some delicious fare, enjoyed Grey Goose cocktails, and get this, the Vanity Fair vending machine was on hand dolling out products from brands like Clare Vivier, Max Studio, Giorgio Armani, Lancome and more! Literally, all I had to do was stand in line, touch a screen, and POOF the most coveted beauty products were at My fingertips.  As you can tell (unsurprisingly) I am totally unable to play it cool when swag is involved.

On top of all that sweet swag, we also enjoyed some pampering from Armani Beauty, LOreal Paris USA, and Lancome USA. We Work transformed a room in the lounge into a tricked out beauty salon and in between us “Influencer’s” doing our influencing we were able to get makeover’s that made us feel like the Hollywood stars we would be covering.

One of my favorite things about The Vanity Fair Social Club were the iconic images that were on display around the office. Vanity Fair is known for its impeccable photographs from renown photogs like Annie Leibovitz and David LaChapelle. The Hollywood Hot list in and of itself draws fans to the newsstands not only for its estimation of whom to keep on our radar, but the stunning pictorial. So to see those iconic images up close was truly a special experience.

It would seem only fitting that among all of those beautiful pictures there would be a photobooth that we could create some of our own beautiful pictures in, or as in my case beautifully silly…

I’d like to thank Vanity Fair and Heidi over at The Blogger Babes for the invite and truly making this an once in a lifetime experience.

So Weekender’s, how did you celebrate Oscar weekend? I’d love to hear from you!

WOW! What a fun way to spend Oscar Night! I admit, I’m supremely jelly! Lucky girl – looks like you had a great time! Did you pick all the winners???

It was SO much fun! You know I’m usually really great with seeing the movies nominated but this year I didn’t get to see one film! So as you can probably guess my picks were WAY off lol.

Coming from a movie and Oscar lover I have to say that hosting an Oscar party is among my top fav parties to host. It’s so interactive and the glam is just so over the top!
