Before going full throttle with planning any party the first thing I think about to get my inspirational juices flowing are the colors I want to use. Some folks like planning around a theme, I however go directly to my Pinterest page, search “color combo’s” sit back and get completely enveloped by the prettiness of it all. My current obsession? Pink and gold! It’s so feminine, so sophisticated, so vibrant and subtle at the same time. I’ve always loved pink, I’m a girls girl so if there was ever a pink version of anything I bought it(hello curling iron, phone case, coffee maker:/), so it’s no surprise to those who know me that this is my color obsession. In fact when I was putting together inspiration for this here blog, pink and gold were my go to color’s. There’s just something about the combo I love and I want to share with you some ways you can use it for your next party. I’m thinking it would be perfect for a girls night in, a bridal shower, valentines day. The options are endless…

This whole post brings to mind my favorite movie “Steel Magnolias” Julia Roberts character Shelby is explaining that the colors of her wedding are “blush and bashful” and her mother the ever sarcastic Mahlynne played by Sally Field says “her colors are pink and pink” . It’s like how many shades of pink can you have before it’s just pink lol. But the shade is gorgeous never the less and I’ll never tire of looking at it or using it in some creative way. So Weekender’s what color palettes are you loving these days? Any colors that are unassuming and the average person would never think go together? Those are my fav kinds 😉 Drop me a line and let me know! Until we meet again…Keep the party goin!
