My Favorite Memories From 2019

2019 much like life, was equal parts beautiful and painful, exciting and monotonous. It was revealing in its ability to make clear what was confusing, but also created more questions about life and where it’s headed. I’ve heard the following said about time; “The days are long and the years are short” and after looking through my photos from the past year that pearl of wisdom rang especially true.

As I was looking through my phone it struck me how lucky we are to capture these moments in time. What was once just a memory to our ancestors can now be relived over and over again thanks to modern technology. Here were my favorite memories of 2019…

2019 Was a Year of Conquering Professional Goals & Fears

I co-presented at my first work conference this year and it checked off an item from my bucket list
Facilitated and planned a full one day training event in Kentucky all by myself!

Stateside Travel Made up A lot of My 2019

I took my passion workshop on the road and lead a session in Dallas Texas
On that same trip LaJon had his first art show at For the Culture Art Studio. I called myself his “Booth Bitch” and nobody got the reference
I loved Dallas so much I came back a second time to celebrate my bestie Susie’s birthday at her family ranch
I can’t be the only person who wears hot boots to go zip lining in the Dallas countryside

My Favorite Memories with Friends in 2019

Friendsgiving was LIT once again
In an effort to give less “stuff” and create more moments, I gifted my friends with a boat ride to watch the Christmas lights in Naples
I love an impromptu photo shoot at a birthday brunch with fabulous women…here I am with a few of them at a brunch for my Niece
We were too tired to walk after the Nola Jazz and Blues Festival so we took our lawn chairs and sat under this picture window. A stranger walked by and said we looked like something out of magazine and snapped this image. Susie photoshopped in the quote above

I Visited the Orange County for the First Time

Jaimie & I got the opportunity to co-facilitate The Passion Workshop to a group of college students during their Summer break

2019 Was the Year of the Baby and 3 of my Friends Had Them

My brother got married and it’s the first time I’ve ever had all of my brothers in one picture
Our Thanksgiving picture perfectly captures the dynamics of my family

The Best Decision of the Year had to be our Move Downtown Long Beach

LaJon created the most beautiful public art pieces for the city of Long Beach
Another mural LaJon created and it was puppy approved!
Being closer to water has brought such delight to our lives
Speaking of our loft, having an open floor plan has changed the game
I even brought back my annual Winter Wonderland Christmas party

I was Lucky to Spend Another Year of Love with an Amazing Partner & Friend

Cheers to the end of 2019 and the beginning of another year of love, growth and happy times
