The holiday season is upon us! It’s that time of year to make heartfelt, homemade gifts for those around you (if that’s your thing). It’s definitely our thing, and we really love the idea of making soap this year.
A popular gift this time of year is perfume, so why not make your DIY soap smell like perfumes? You can make copy-cat perfume recipes from essential oil blends that combine to resemble the smell of famous perfumes.
When added to soap, you can make a soap that complements perfume that’s a gift or simply give it to the person you know who wears said perfume.
For example, do you have a friend in your life who loves Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue? What about Chanel No. 5? Now you can make them a soap that complements their perfume.
All you have to do is use the melt and pour method to make this soap — no lye is involved!
So, how do you make melt and pour soap? It’s super easy. First you break apart pre-made soap that you can buy at the craft’s store. Next, melt the soap pieces. Finally, you mix them with your desired ingredients and pour the mixture into a mold.
After the soap has had a chance to set for a few days you can cut the soap up and wrap them in pretty little gift bags. I like to wrap them in cellophane wraps tied with ribbons. For the copy cat recipes and more information you can check out the visual below!
