It’s Father’s Day week and I”m really getting into the spirit of the holiday over here! I don’t know if it’s because I’ve become a super softy in my older age or if it’s just that I’m always down to celebrate any holiday that can include an alcoholic beverage, whatever it is, I’m definitely feeling the love for the Dad’s this Father’s Day. My brother Anthony Harrell is one amazing Dad! I see him with his kids and it’s awe-inspiring. You can really see the love that they all share for one another when they’re together. His 2 boys Michael and Eli look at him like he’s a superhero and his daughter although in college and with a life of her own still loves traveling home to spend time with him.
Since we were kids , Anthony has always been a caretaker so it doesn’t surprise me much that he’s such a great Dad and while I know there’s many amazing Dad’s out there what sets my brother apart is how much he fights for his family. He has overcome drug addiction and alcohol abuse in order to be the kind of person his children can look up to. It’s a daily struggle for him but he continues to fight the disease of substance abuse for them.
Anthony is a musician as well. He’s had many highs and lows in the entertainment business from broken record deals to money stolen, he’s gone through so much, but has never given up on creating music. He is a living breathing example of how to live a passionate life! So much so that I interviewed him (check that out here) to gain some of his wisdom.
