Growing up I couldn’t wait for the summer to roll around, I knew it would mean relaxation, chillin with my girls, and at least one or two trips to an amusement park. So I was feeling all kinds of nostalgic when I was invited to Knott’s Berry Farm to experience their new attraction Ghost Town Alive.
While I’ll always be a kid at heart, I knew that this would be truly memorable if I experienced it with the special kids in my life, so I packed up my niece and God Daughter and we booked it on over to Knott’s for a day of adventure.
A Little About Ghost Town Alive
Knott’s Berry Farm is known for their interactive attractions. If you’ve ever had the pleasure to be genuinely terrified at their annual Halloween event Knott’s Scary Farm, you’ll know that they really have a knack for drawing you into the experience, well, Ghost Town Alive! was no different.
Ghost Town Alive! offers guests a firsthand experience to play an important part in the unfolding story of the old wild west with specific tasks giving you an essential role as an honorary citizen of Calico or as a bad guy apart of the Mayfield gang. Not only did we have an opportunity to take part in the story, we had influence on how the story takes shape. We were even given cowboy hats and scarves so that everyone participating could tell each other apart.
We were entertained all day by actors who never broke character and sent on a fun scavenger hunt that gifted us with prizes and interactive shows. It was super cute to see Addie and my niece get into the magic of the day. You couldn’t tell us we were not in the wild wild west!
We sat in an old school-house and learned lessons about the town, and as bad guys of course we had to rebels and take some pictures outside of the town jail.
Now I know amusement parks can be expensive but what I love about Knott’s is that its super affordable compared to other parks in Southern California. For 4 payments of $31.50 you can purchase a season pass and get access to not only Knott’s Berry Farm but their water park Soak City! What’s even better is, there are NO black out dates!
Enjoy more photos of our truly fabulous day and make sure you take the kids or get a group of friends together and enjoy Ghost Town Alive happening now through September 4th!
So now that Ghost Town Alive is on your schedule this summer, what other fun things do you have planned? I’d love to know in the comments below!
