I’m a girl who loves a fun business venture, so when my fellow blogging buddy Lashon over at For the Love of Curls told me she was venturing into the world of cocktails for a brand called mixParty and wanted to host a cocktail party at my house, there was no way I could say no.
So here’s the skinny on mixParty. It’s pretty much a happy hour in a box in 4 simple steps.
Step 1: Order your box of goodies from your Mixologist. In my case it was Lashon (she’s fun so if you’re in the LA area you should totally book her because she will hook your party up!)
Step 2: Invite your friends! As you can see I definitely had that part under control…
Step 3: Put the drinks on ice! Your party in a box will arrive at your home in advance of your Mix Party Happy Hour,so you get time to chill your samples, set out your party table and start the music. I also added some small bites to my menu for the occasion. On the menu were open-faced BLT’s on french bread, crudité in a cup, cupcakes, salt and pepper wings, meatballs and my self-created “bomby salami”, which is just salami, fresh mozzarella and olives on a toothpick. My friends also referred to them as aliens on a skewer but I’ll let you choose your own name for this simple to make recipe 😉
Step 4: Your Mixologist will arrive on the day of your party with the full display range of all mixParty exclusive bottles, sample cups, catalogs, and order forms. Lashon really brings the party spirit, she was super informative and knew how to mix a good cocktail!
I went out and picked up some cute martini glasses from Party City, and some flowers from the grocery store for the occasion. I strongly suggest creating a bar area to display the mixParty bottles because they’re SO chic!
The party was so much fun especially because the holidays are around the corner so everyone was planning for upcoming festivities, and what better way to get the party started than specialty cocktails?!?!
Reach out to Lashon to set your own party up, or if you’re interested in becoming your own Mixologist reach out to her for details!

Winter! I wish I knew you so I could come over and drink and have a bite to eat! The food and the drinks looked amazing! I’m definitely going to have to look into this company. What’s better than a party where you don’t have to buy several large expensive bottles, but can get everything in one swoop! Great post!

This looks like it was a great gathering…and even better with cocktails! I host family over from time to time so perhaps I should give this a try and loosen things up a little! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

I’m glad y’all had a fun party. It’s always to get together with friends and share snacks and laughter. I don’t drink alcohol, but I do love throwing parties. I’ll have to try your little bomby salami sometime. Looks yummy!

Having a Mixparty sounds fun. I like to try different drinks and think I could get a lot out of a consultation with a Mixologist. I love to learn, party, and to drink so this would definitely be something that floats my boat.
