So Periscope is pretty much giving me life right now! ! For those of you who aren’t familiar, Periscope is a new social media channel that broadcasts live videos from around the world in real-time. You can pretty much hop right on and share content to people about any topic your heart desires. This couldn’t have come at a better time because I’d been getting questions from family , friends and readers of Weekends With Winter asking me how to start a blog.
Sure I could have written a long blog post exhaustively detailing how to get started, but in reality, people nowadays have the attention spans of a fruit fly so would it have been read? This theory however, gave me the perfect opportunity to test Periscope out.
In short I loved using it! I got a lot of love (600 hearts to be exact) and I fielded a lot of questions from viewers interested in my topic too. I was also able to use my background in public speaking and training to narrow down my topics so that they could be easily grasped.
Look past the fact that I look pretty busted (it was Sunday morning for crying out loud) and get ready to learn the top 10 things I wish I’d known before I started blogging.
