Happy happy joy joy! I so loving doing my Motivation Monday post because it’s all about happiness! The stuff across the internet that is bringing me joy, keeping me positive and restoring my faith in humanity. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, energy is transferable so you’ve got to pay attention to what you expose yourself to. If its constant negativity than you’re bringing that energy into your personal space. While I don’t think it’s possible (or helpful) to cut the negative totally out (I mean we have to be aware of the dangers in our world too), it’s all about balance. Make sure for every negative piece of news you read you follow it up with like 3 positive pieces as well. Hopefully this post fills that quota!

An Olympian and a Photographers DIY Craftsman Home

Having been a renter of a Craftsman home myself I know how special they are to live and entertain in. This couple’s home makes my heart sing with its understated charm. I love a home that you just want to grab a book and curl up on the sofa in and this home makes me want to do just that!

  3. I love that fireplace. It looks totally cool. That would definitely make me happy to look at. I have two fireplaces in my home. they both make me happy.

  7. The source of a lot of my happiness is my dogs. We have four of them, and even though things can get hectic at times, there’s nothing like a dog’s love to bring a smile back to your face.

  9. My daughter is getting married on a yacht next May. I’ve been looking for some nautical DIY centerpieces and I just love the hydrangeas in the vase wrapped with rope.

  12. Salad in the summer is a must have. Every Friday we grill up a steak and slice it and add it to a nice fresh salad with all the fixins!

  19. What makes me happy this week is the thought of the kids going back to school in two weeks. They are so bored and ready and will probably jump out of the car with happiness.

  25. These are excellent tips especially on the wedding centerpieces. Hit up $1.00 store and look for pretty vases, rocks, beads, and possibly even fake flowers. The vases and beads don’t exactly have to match, you do want them to be similar. There are so many ideas on Pinterest and there is no need to pay a fortune.

  26. These are awesome things that make you happy. I know I am going to make these pizza cones tonight for sure so my family and I can be happy. I never thought of doing this with the cone cups and tin foil. Totally awesome idea. Thanks for sharing.
