“Family is what happens when two people fall in love”. It was the sentiment behind the lovely champagne inspired bridal shower I created recently for Amber & Josh (you may recall me talking about their oh so fab engagement party here). While Amber had already had the traditional bridal shower, Josh’s sister’s wanted to come together and welcome Amber and her family into their’s with a bridal brunch of their own . So we put our heads together to create a brunch that would be both intimate, chic and personal. It was our hope that as Josh and Amber say their I Do’s they feel confidant in knowing that they have the love and support of their family and friends. Here is glimpse inside the day…
Location location location! It really is the most important part of planning any event. We were lucky enough to use one of my very best friends home for the occasion. Her home is GORGEOUS! As you walk into the foyer you are greeted by a winding metal staircase and marble floor, the space is open and airy and was the perfect place to host a rainy day brunch.
“Champagne Chic” was the inspiration for the day. Not only is champagne the most celebratory cocktail, the lovely color worked perfectly with our choice of place settings and floral arrangements. A mimosa bar was the perfect addition to the days festivities.
Joel Steingold over at Blooms Brothers Floral Design created our centerpieces (which can only be described as breathtaking) with our color combination in mind. The floral arrangements were not only beautiful but were the perfect height for our table and the use of color complimented our champagne chic theme.
As opposed to the traditional place card seating, we opted to place pictures of the attendees in small frames (keeping with the champagne inspired hue) with their seating arrangements printed on the back. This worked as both a creative way that made everyone feel welcomed and keepsake from the days events.
Location- √! Design & Color Inspiration -√√ Floral arrangements √ √√ … the last thing we had to figure out was our menu. Champagne Chic was the inspiration for the day so it made sense to serve a brunch inspired menu. I called on 2 chefs that I regularly use for my own parties. Mallick Leo & Adah Munoz of Daily Fed created a menu that by simply looking at your mouth watered. From the light and perfectly fluffy buttermilk pecan cinnamon roll, to the slow simmered cheesy grits and shrimp and my personal favorite the fresh lox and bagel bar. Everything was more than delicious and just added to the perfection of the day.
My favorite part of brunch is being able to share it with the people you love, so this day was made all the more special because it was in honor of 2 families that I love coming together in love. It was an honor to have been apart of .

Oooh, so fancy! My bridal shower was in one of my aunts’ church hall and didn’t have any of the flowers or champagne. Still, I had a good time, which is the point of these things, right?! 🙂
