Happy Fab Finds Friday Weekender’s! This weeks fab finds are all about the focal point of any party-the centerpiece! The centerpiece is so important because your guests will most likely be looking at it the most throughout the night, and also, because it’s where you’re going to tie in your parties concept. I’ve seen this done supremely well and I’ve seen it fail. The failures in my opinion just didn’t tie into the parties theme, or were not that imaginative. Whereas the successes, they enhanced the setting and tied everything together seamlessly. So feel good when guests are clamoring to take your centerpiece home at the end of the evening, it means you got it right!
When searching for centerpieces I wanted to list those that broke away from the norm. We’ve all seen the classic rose floral arrangement in the classic vase, it’s been done and redone many times over and while it works, it’s also kind of boring. One of my favorite centerpieces came from a 20’s themed wedding I attended a few months back. The bride used vintage books and strung pearls around them with votive candles to tie in the roaring 20’s theme. It was inexpensive, creative, and gorgeous! Now I’m not saying don’t use flowers, I love flowers, flowers make a party! However think about a new way to display them. How about using a teapot, or a soup can? What about nixing the bouquet and simply using single stems? The idea’s featured today are meant to get your creative juices flowing so enjoy…
