3-year-old Donjane` is one of the most stylish kids I know, so when her mother (my cousin) asked for my help in throwing her a party that would compliment her personality we both knew a glam cowgirl theme was the only way to go. Our colors had to be girly enough for our cowgirl but also had to appeal to the little cowboys that would be in attendance, hence, our pink and brown theme. Well let me tell you pink and brown have to be very popular hue’s at the moment because there was no shortage of item’s in this color palette. Our first stop for birthday loot was Hobby Lobby otherwise known as “crafter heaven”. We were able to find most of what we needed decor wise there. We picked up gift bags and boxes, pink and brown handkerchiefs, the cake stand, and a lot of other goodies from this amazing place. What made it even better is that they were having a 40% off sale!

We also wanted to make sure the kids had activities to keep themselves busy at the park. Well busy they were as there were pony rides, a petting zoo, face painter, a jumper complete with slide, a craft table and pinata for their enjoyment. I think I actually saw some adults getting in on some of that jumper action.

Having the party in the park was great and we were able to secure a spot right next to the play ground (we did get there at 4:30 a.m. to do so) however I do have to say we were presented with some obstacles. The day was supposed to be pretty hot but we ended up having tons of breeze which helped with the temperature but did not fare well for the flimsy tablecloths as they kept blowing our beautiful table display. We did however get to snap a picture before anything could fly away.
