The Vagina Winologues Take Over The Stave Long Beach

 

If you are a regular follower of Weekends With Winter than you’ve probably seen a post or two about the wine club that I belong to “The Vagina Winologues”.  Well this month I had the pleasure of hosting my club mates  at The Stave,  a wine bar in Long Beach Ca. The host of each months club usually picks a theme and we all bring wine and a food pairing associated with that theme. My theme this month however was purely selfish, as I wanted to get the ladies down to Long Beach so that they could experience my favorite wine bar and have a chance to really hang out in the city that I was born and raised in and absolutely love! It was a perfect night as we sat outside near the outdoor fire pit and munched on charcuterie and gourmet pizza while catching up on the events of our lives. 

 The venue itself is gorgeous so I didn’t need to over decorate the space. I simply brought an arrangement of peonies, drink flags and favor bags to give it an intimate feel. I got the drink flags and the favor bag name tags from Minted which added a really personal touch. I put a hole punch on the edge of the tag, strung twine through the hole and tied it to the bag.

  

In the gift bags I included Wine Wipes (used to wipe red wine stains from your teeth) a beer cozy from “The Stave”, personalized coasters with our wine club name imprinted on the front and a cork key chain. The Wine Wipes, personalized coasters, and cork key chain were finds from Etsy.com . When I plan ahead I can always find an original idea and party favor from an Etsy shop to incorporate into a party.

Hosting this months meeting was truly fun. I suggest if you have a group of friends and you all love wine like my friends and I do, start your own wine club. It is something that I look forward to every month 🙂 Have a great rest of the week, until we meet again, keep the party goin!
