Fab Finds…Sunday?

Hello Weekenders! If you’re a regular here at Weekends With Winter you may have noticed that our regularly scheduled “Fab Finds Friday” post, was skipped. Well my friends there is  good reason for that, as I was called to jury duty  last week and actually ended up being chosen to participate in a criminal trial. So, that along with other commitments took up a great deal of my time. However with that said while jury duty may seem like a huge inconvenience, it has been a very rewarding experience thus far and I urge anyone who has the opportunity to perform this service to just do it! For the most part it has been painless and the sense of accomplishment and pride I feel compared to the inconvenience has been monumental.

Now on to what you’ve most likely come here for…FAB FINDS! This week I  have a list of finds that I think you guys are going to love! It is my hope that the idea’s that I present today are ideas that you can incorporate into your next function and at the very least, style inspiration. So without further delay…

Target Style Beauty Event

I love that Target supports the blogging community. A few awesome bloggers were invited to attend the Target Style Beauty event in Beverly Hills this past Saturday and I have to say the photo’s from the event are packed with what I like to call stylespeiration (style + inspiration). Nate Berkus For Target

Speaking of Target, have you guys seen the Nate Berkus for Target dinnerware line? Well look no further, as Elle Decor recently asked event designers from blogs The Glitter Guide , Nicolette Mason and the girls behind The New Potato to design a tablescape featuring Nate’s line and the results are nothing short of spectacular. These ladies truly brought his collection to life with their amazing idea’s and I for one can’t wait to go out and pick it up for my next dinner party. Here are a few images from the shoot.

Elegant, unique, inspiring, beautiful. These are the words that come to mind when I think of florist Joel Steingold of Blooms Brothers Floral Design . Having worked with Joel on the majority of my own events, I have learned what true professionalism and dedication to ones craft truly means. His florals have inspired me to step my own design game up! With  no prior floral experience, Joel creates from pure inspiration, creativity, and a sincere love for his craft. Corkcicle 

 Have you ever heard an idea so good you thought to yourself “why didn’t I think of that first”? Well this was my exact reaction when I heard of Ben Hewitt’s line Corkcicle. Annoyed that there wasn’t an easier way to keep wine cool other than bothersome and water drenched wine buckets, Hewitt created the worlds first wine cicle! The concept is easy- simply chill the Corkcicle in your freezer for 45 minutes, remove, and insert into your wine bottle. The Corkcicle keeps wine at just the right temperature so that it’s neither too cold to mask the uniquely crafted complexities , or too warm so that the flavors take a backseat to the strength of the alcohol. And the best thing about it? You can simply wash it and use again for your next bottle.

Darby Smart DIY Homemade Gin Kit

So picture this- you and a few good friends get together for a fun night in  making homemade gin while sipping gin and tonics… I don’t know about you but that sounds a little like heaven to me. Besides I love a fun DIY project where you you’re not sweat drenched and doubting your intelligence, but rather super giggly and  more open to toilet papering the mean neighbors front yard. So If you’re anything ilke me and think the latter sounds amusing or maybe you’re just a really classy gin connoisseur, then Darby Smart’s homemade gin kit may be just the thing for you. The kit comes with two 375 ml bottles, a stainless steel strainer, stainless steal funnel, blend and instructions. The vodka isn’t included but if you’re doing things the right way you already have some on hand 😉
