Many of you may share this same sentiment about your own mother’s, however, I happen to think that my mother is the best in the entire world . As such, I wanted to make sure this Mother’s Day she would feel as special as she makes her children feel everyday.
Initially the guest list consisted of myself, my mom, and my little brother. However when she saw the spread I’d created she practically called everyone she knew and invited them over. It was definitely a case of the more the merrier and we really had a lovely day. Here are a few shots of our very special Mother’s Day 2014…
Decor
Free is always great for me! I was able to snag these very lovely printables completely free from “Amanda’s Parties To Go” (http://amandaparkerandfamily.blogspot.com/)
I attached pink striped straws to the water bottles to pull in more of the color from the water bottle labels.
My favorite printable was this one. I added it to the floral arrangements I placed around the house
The printables were perfect to hang from my mantel

Cupcake Toppers
I love using filler flowers as a single arrangement. These purple limonium are the perfect flower for that.
The filler flowers were also perfect for my bathroom arrangement.
My brother and I made a memory jar for my mom. We both wrote our fav mommy memories on a piece of paper and wrapped them in a bow and put them in a jar.
My mom loves a good mimosa at brunch, so I brought the mimosa bar to her.
Mimosa’s are refreshing and what I like to call a “sneaker drink”. Because you can barely taste the alcohol and it sneaks up on you after awhile.
The Food
My mom is an excellent cook and the art of cooking brings her so much joy. She loves it so much she actually requested that she cook her own Mother’s Day dinner! I didn’t protest because if you know me you know I don’t make dinner, I prefer to make reservations.

The Food Was AMAZING
I hope all the mommies out there felt special and were treated like the Queen’s they are. Your sacrifices and love are what make this world a better place to live. My mother inspires me and encourages me daily, if your mom does the same for you, incorporate some of these ideas into a special dinner party for her. I promise you she will be forever grateful…she may even cook for you if you’re lucky 🙂
