This month’s wine club theme merged two of my very favorite things – wine and flowers! Our task was to present a bottle of wine that was made using flowers. Unbeknownst to me, not only do certain wines have hints of floral tones in their flavor, but some are made using actual flowers. Wines like Viognier, Chenin Blanc and Riesling (to name a few) are made using violets, hibiscus, and dandelion. So next time you’re sampling wine with noticeable floral hints, you just might be tasting the real thing. Here are a few shots of this month’s club meeting: “Spring Flowers Bring Wine Flowers!”

My wine pairing was this dish of pita bread and yummy garlic spread. I paired this with a bottle of Rose.

I can always count on the ultra fab and stylish Shelly to incorporate our wine club theme in her amazing ensembles.

I love Dakota’s make shift wine bar! This shows that if you’re creative enough you can turn any space into an entertaining space!
