I am all about a super easy recipe that looks like you’ve slaved in the kitchen for hours and this weeks easy peasy recipeasy is just that!
I am NO cook so when I tell you that this recipe was easy I mean it was EASY. It literally takes all of 15 minutes to make and can be used as a dessert at the end of a fabulous dinner or as treat to give to guests as party favors. The options are endless! Here is how my Saturday spent hanging out with a friend yielded the “Easy Peasy Caramel Turtle.
Parchment Paper
1 bag of “Rolo’s” chocalate and caramel candy
1 bag of “Rounder” mini pretzels
1 bag of pecan halves
Note: The amount that you use of each is totally up to you.
Prep: Heat oven to 400º
1. On a cookie sheet spread out parchment paper and place mini pretzels about an inch apart.
2. Place Rollo’s in the middle of each mini pretzel
3. Place in oven for 2-3 min. Rollo’s should be soft and should not lose their shape or completely melt.
4. Grab a handful of pecan and separate the full bits from the broken.
5. Gently place each pecan on top of your Rollo pressing down gently.
6. So that your cookie sheet can cool down set out for about 5 minutes.
7. Place cookie sheet in your refrigerator for 15 minutes or until candy hardens.
8.Once you remove the cookie sheet from the fridge you can then plate and garnish your masterpiece!
These were SO easy to make and SO delicious! Try them at your next function and let me know how they turn out. Until next time…
Cheers!
